Opening Assignment
Jaden O'Connell a student at Barry Goldwater High school was turning a corner on her way to school when her friend made a bad decision. As they were turning a corner on their way to school Kylee, the driver had lost control of her car and managed to drive straight up a hill and crashed. Kaylin O'Connell scared for her opened the door and was about to jump out of the car. But after the crash had ended Jaden and Kaylin had fled the scene. That morning Jaden and Kaylin had decided to take a short cut to school by getting a ride from their friend which they are not supposed to do with out letting their mom know. They ran from the scene because they were scared of what their mom might say to them. So after they had fled the crash scene they ran as fast as they could to school. About 15 minutes later they arrived at school, they bell had just rang so they were on time, but they were still all shook up from the car crash.
It was a Friday morning when my sister and I were waiting at the bus stop for our bus to come and pick us up. Our friend Brittney was getting picked up by my friend Kylee and so Kylee asked if my sister and I wanted a ride to school since it was a lot faster then waiting for the bus to come pick us up. Silly of us to agree because we weren't thinking we just wanted a quick and fast way to get to school. So we get in and within seconds we were at a red light. The light turned green and Kylee thought it would be fun to show off but completely failing and looking like a complete idiot. As we were turning the corner Kylee's car picked up speed she then lost control of her car and managed to drive it up a hill crashing to a stop into a fence. Kaylin was so terrified that in the moment she opened the car door and was about to hop out. The car came to a halt and my sister and I jumped out of the car crossed the traffic intersection and began out fast journey to school. It only took us about 15 minutes to get to school but we pretty much ran the whole way out of fear that our mom would find out and be so angry with us. We successfully made it to school on time right as the bell rang but we were still terrified from the accident that had just occurred.

The Truman Show Essay
"The Truman Show" was created to entertain millions of children, adults, and older people in the real world as well as in the movie itself but it is a cruel thing to do to a person and nobody deserves to ever be put through that. "The Truman Show" depicts several interesting areas of video production including the use of video cameras and angling, the ability to distinguish the difference between the real and controlled world that Truman lives in, and the flaws that happen to be in the movie.
Through out the movie there are many shots including the pencil sharpener, the button cam, the mirror camera, and the dashboard camera in Truman's car. All these camera shots helped to show the audience that no matter where Truman was he was always on camera, being recorded and showed to millions of people for entertainment. However in real life and in the fake world that Truman lives in there are accidents where people mess up. When these people start messing up Truman starts to realize that he is being recorded and or put on camera. A particular scene that stood out and impacted me as a watcher is the scene when Truman decides to leave Seahaven and go on a trip that is not expected. They run into a incident where "There is a radioactive leak from the power plant up the road" and when the worker calls Truman by his name something clicks and Truman realizes something is wrong and he must do something about it. So Truman runs and the camera that was recording him was in a gauge reader in on of that workers suits. The cameras shot helps make the mood feel sneaky. In conclusion there are many shots through out the movie that has an important role in the helping with the mood.
The Truman show was created to be a source of entertainment not to be realistic. Though the movie and show itself were sometimes funny and entertaining as well as hit an emotional spot inside of me, I do believe that there are many flaws in this productions. The intentions of the creator were not true he only was thinking about money, reviews, and the entertainment of other people never about Truman him self. "The Truman Show" could never really happen in real life because there are laws and amendments that protect people from that. Having someone on camera without them having any knowledge if that is most definitely cruel and no human should ever have that happen to them. In conclusion the movie is not realistic at all.
"The Truman Show" in my opinion is not a good movie at all. It should have never been made. After the creation of this movie people may fear that this might happen to them in the future. The movie does have some good parts to it though. In my opinion the movie was not thoroughly thought out and the ending sucked. The ending of the movie was by far the worst part of the movie. I hate how it does not show what happened with Sylvia and if they ever met up or did not meet up. In conclusion the movie is horrible and not well planned or executed.
"The Truman Show" depicts several interesting areas of video production including the use of video cameras and angling, the ability to distinguish the difference between the real and controlled world that Truman lives in, and the flaws that happen to be in the movie. Over all I disapprove of this movie because it not only invades peoples personal space and privacy but it also hides the truth from the main character as well. The movie is not fair or right to ever put any single person through.
